On June 20, 2023, the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired presented the German Hearing Film Award in Berlin for the 21st time. At the festive award ceremony for the best hearing film productions, St. Kilian Distillers presented, as in the previous year, a very special edition. The German whisky distillery, which also sponsored the gala this year, unveiled a single malt whisky bottling with a label in Braille. In this way, the innovative company from Rüdenau in Lower Franconia is once again setting an example for inclusion and support for people with visual impairments.

Our limited edition single malt bottling with Braille label is not only a symbolic act, but also allows us to financially support the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired," commented Andreas Kreser, Director of Communication & Brand Development at St. Kilian Distillers. "When you see how difficult people with visual impairments still have it in everyday life, but also in our society, it's a matter of the heart for us to help a bit in overcoming these barriers."
The limited special edition "German Hearing Film Award 2023" matured in a former sherry cask and symbolizes with the label, which is unique in Germany, the appreciation and recognition of diversity in our society. To support the great and important work, St. Kilian Distillers donates an amount of € 10.00 per bottle to the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

The single malt whisky is neither colored nor chill-filtered and was bottled with an alcohol content of 50% vol. in a bulbous 0.7 liter bottle. The retail price for end consumers is € 79.90 for the "German Audio Film Award 2023 Edition". The special bottling, strictly limited to 250 bottles, is available from St. Kilian online as well as in the store in the visitor distillery.
