Special bottling German Audio Film Award 2024

St. Kilian Distillers once again promotes the participation of the visually impaired with a special edition

Rüdenau, March 2024
At the 22nd German Hearing Film Award ceremony on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Berlin, the German whisky distillery St. Kilian Distillers presented a single malt whisky with a unique Braille label. As a sponsor of the festive gala, the innovative distillery from Rüdenau in Lower Franconia is sending a clear signal for inclusion and support for people with visual impairments.

Philipp Trützler, Managing Director of St. Kilian Distillers, commented on the premiere: "It is with great pleasure and pride that we at St. Kilian Distillers present this unique special edition on the occasion of the German Hearing Film Award. The idea of designing a whisky label in Braille stems from our firm belief that art and enjoyment should be accessible to all. The integration of people with visual impairments into society is a matter very close to our hearts and we firmly believe that this initiative can help to break down barriers."

The limited special edition "Deutscher Hörfilmpreis 2024" matured for an impressive five years in a former Woodford Rye Barrel. The special note of this single malt whisky comes from the artful marriage with whisky from a former rhum agricole cask. The result is a sophisticated creation that combines the spicy and fruity aromas of both casks and will delight whisky fans.

To support the outstanding work of the German Hearing Film Award, St. Kilian donates 10 euros per bottle to the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This donation underlines the distillery's commitment and gives the enjoyment of this single malt whisky a special meaning. With this special edition, St. Kilian Distillers is sending out a strong signal not only in terms of taste, but also socially.
