Press release: A shower of medals for St. Kilian Distillers at the World Sprits Award 2024

The German whisky distillery St. Kilian Distillers was awarded the coveted "World-Class Distillery" and "Master-Class Distillery" awards at this year's World Spirits Award 2024 (WSA). Furthermore, the distillery's diverse product portfolio was awarded an outstanding 20 medals at the awards ceremony on March 23 in St. Pantaleon in Upper Austria. These included two double gold, 13 gold, four silver and one bronze medal.

St. Kilian's Master Distiller and Master Blender, Mario Rudolf, who personally accepted the trophies together with Philipp TrĂŒtzler, is also impressed by the value and transparency of the international competition: "From our point of view, the WSA is an absolutely fair and highly professional competition with results that are always comprehensible. We are therefore all the more pleased that many of our products, which are permanently available in our range, have been recognized in this major competition. Compared to other international spirits competitions, the WSA occupies a special position, as it not only awards medals for products, but also classifies the corresponding production facilities. In the "Whisky Worldwide" category, St. Kilian Distillers was awarded the highest honors "World-Class Distillery 2024" as well as the title "Master-Class Distillery 2024" in the category (Bitters & Liqueurs).
In addition, the St. Kilian range was able to assert itself against competition from a total of 300 different spirits submitted by 77 distilleries from 25 nations. The international jury of experts judged according to the WOB 100-point system specially tailored to spirits by the organizer Wolfram Ortner. The St. Kilian team is delighted with the extremely positive verdict of the renowned spirits experts, which characterizes the outstanding craftsmanship of the Lower Franconian distillery as well as the first-class quality of St. Kilian whiskies and liqueurs.
