Germany's largest whisky distillery achieves a total of nine awards at the PARIS WINE & SPIRITS TROPHY, including Double Gold and Grand Gold

This year, St. Kilian Distillers' whiskies and liqueurs will once again win numerous awards at international competitions. At the PARIS Wine & Spirits TROPHY 2022, one of the largest and most prestigious wine and spirits competitions in the world, the whisky distillery from Rüdenau in Lower Franconia wins a total of nine medals. "We are very proud of these awards, which show that we also convince internationally with our products. That's why we are always developing further, so that we can continue to produce whiskies and liqueurs of the highest quality at all times," says a delighted Managing Director Philipp Trützler. At the competition, which took place in Paris in October, wines and spirits from a total of 48 countries were evaluated by an international jury of experts in a blind tasting. In addition to quality, the criteria of value, label design and packaging were also included in the evaluation formula. All the whiskies and liqueurs submitted by St. Kilian Distillers received a convincing verdict from the expert judges and were awarded Double Gold, Grand Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

- SILVER: St. Kilian Liqueur made with Single Malt Whisky
- SILVER: Bud Spencer - The Legend - Firewater (Chili Cinnamon Liqueur)
- SILVER: Signature Edition Eight - Single Malt Whisky
- BRONZE: Bud Spencer - The Legend - Whisky (mild)
The smoky and mild whiskies from the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill series each won Double Gold international awards, as did the full-bodied hazelnut liqueur "Voll auf die Nuss", which was awarded Grand Gold. Mario Rudolf is particularly pleased about the gold medal for the Signature Edition Ten. For this single malt whisky, the focus was on the special aromas of various specialty malts. "From the brewer's point of view, far too little attention is paid to the influence of raw materials, especially malt. That's why the Signature Edition Ten is a very special homage to the mashbill, the malts used, which we have available here at St. Kilian," says the Master Distiller about the single malt, which impresses with intense malt notes and dark toffee.
