The St. Kilian X series stands for bottlings that emphasise the experimental character of the distillery. For this exclusive edition, the CLASSIC – Mild & Fruity single malt whisky was stored for 18 months in heavy earthenware containers. This unusual maturation step enabled subtle micro-oxidation, which not only harmonises and rounds off the flavours, but also creates a particularly smooth texture. The fruit components of the whisky appear softer and fuller, while the original cask flavours remain elegantly present. The result is a refined single malt with an even more intense fruitiness and finer balance.
