The St. Kilian X series stands for bottlings that emphasise the experimental character of the distillery. For this exclusive edition, the single malt whisky PEATED – Rich & Smoky was stored for 18 months in heavy earthenware containers. This unusual maturation step gives the smoky St. Kilian Core Range bottling an even softer texture. The harmonious fruit flavours come more to the fore, while the smoky notes are subtly weakened and the fruity nuances appear noticeably more mature.
