The distillate, made from ultra heavily peated barley malt with a phenol content of 135 ppm, matured for seven years in a 350-litre French oak cask that previously housed fine cognacs for three decades. This exceptional cask gave the whisky an impressive depth and a seductive bouquet of ripe, yellow fruits, complemented by creamy vanilla, fine toffee and spicy oak, which are enveloped in perfect harmony by intense peat smoke notes.

Sweet peat smoke rises to the nose, followed by juicy apricots, yellow pears and light-coloured grapes, which combine harmoniously with fine blossom honey, a hint of vanilla and subtle ashy nuances.

Palate
Fruity sweetness of ripe grapes, juicy apricots and pears meets intense peat smoke, while creamy vanilla, fine toffee, spicy oak and a pinch of allspice provide a fascinating depth.

Finish
The multi-layered combination of creamy fruit jam and warming peat smoke combines with subtle ash notes and lingers for a long time with fine caramel tones and gently dry oak spice.
