Signature Edition

The Signature Edition FIFTEEN was made from Scottish peated malt and matured for three years in selected ex-Amarone wine casks from the renowned Italian winery Claudio Lenotti. The deep, winey aromas of the casks combine with the elegant fruit accents and intense smoky notes of our New Make to create a unique taste experience. Velvety fruit sweetness melds with creamy vanilla and warming oak spice, while ashy peat smoke gently envelops the senses. Powerful, characterful and distinctive – this smoky single malt whisky is the peaty counterpart to our legendary Signature Edition TWO from 2019.

Our Signature Edition FOURTEEN combines distillates that have been matured to perfection in exquisite French casks for three to seven years. These exquisite casks, characterised by the unique character of the French terroir, give this mild single malt whisky a remarkable depth and sophistication. Bottled at a perfect drinking strength of 49.8% vol., it unfolds a multi-layered fruit spectrum of juicy peaches, sweet grapes and ripe pears, which harmonise with warming oak spice, creamy vanilla and delicate caramel. A masterfully composed flavour experience and a true declaration of love to French craftsmanship.

What makes the smoky Signature Edition THIRTEEN so special is its extraordinary composition. Distillates from 2016, 2018 and 2019, made from Scottish peat smoke malt with 54 ppm, matured in five types of virgin fresh wood casks, such as wild black locust (false acacia), chestnut, cherry, Hungarian oak and Palatinate oak.

The mild Signature Edition TWELVE is a four-year-old single malt that was matured mainly in ex-Moscatel de Setúbal dessert wine casks (225 litres) and blended with whisky from former Jamaican rum and fresh American oak casks (190 litres each).

During the distillation process, the reflux was maximised and the spirit was distilled several times. This is reflected in a mild, fruity sweetness of vanilla cream, fresh citrus notes, banana and grilled apricots, accompanied by pleasantly warming campfire smoke and spicy oak notes.

The Signature Edition TEN focuses on the different types of barley malt used in its production. Matured in ex-bourbon and ex-rum casks, the result is an intense and full-bodied whisky.

The Signature Edition NINE is an intense, fruity and creamy-sweet taste experience. The blend of exotic fruits harmonises beautifully with the spicy warmth and sweet, full-bodied flavours.

The Signature Edition EIGHT delights not only fans of smoky whiskies with its balance of sweetness, subtle fruit and smoke. A unique combination has been selected from our wide variety of cask types.

The St. Kilian Signature Edition SEVEN is the ideal companion for summer. Matured in ex-sherry casks, this bottling reflects the summer sun of Andalusia. The perfect balance between ex-sherry PX and ex-sherry Oloroso casks ensures a harmonious taste experience.

The Signature Edition SIX is a true Franconian! The special barley malt comes from Upper Franconia and the barrels of fine Pinot Noir come from Lower Franconia.

The blend of five different Virgin Oaks barrels – from Hungary to Germany to America – invites you on an aromatic journey. A mild taste of finely spiced oak conveys the feeling of a refreshing walk in the woods.

Surprisingly intense, spicy and smoky: with a phenol content of 54 ppm in the malt, the Signature Edition FOUR is not only the smokiest to date, but also the most aromatic and powerful bottling from St. Kilian thanks to its full maturation in sherry casks.

Smoky, tangy, fresh: our Signature Edition THREE is the prelude to St. Kilian’s smoky whiskies. Inspired by classic peated malts, this single malt whisky was matured in Tennessee whisky barrels and quarter casks.

Fresh, fruity, full of character: TWO is the second single malt whisky from our Signature Edition series – matured in Amarone red wine casks. A whisky with an Italian soul.
