Who is Olli Fink?
Olli Fink is our Brand Ambassador from the far north.
Where does Olli Fink live?
Olli has his home in Harrislee, a municipality in the far north of Germany. Harrislee is located south-east of the German-Danish border in the Schleswig-Flensburg district.
What does the term Brand Ambassador mean?
Translated from English, brand ambassador means a brand representative.
What does Brand Ambassador Olli Fink do?
Olli presents St. Kilian Distillers to the public and brings our whisky brand closer to an appropriate target group. In particular, he provides information about German whisky, which is not yet sufficiently well known to some connoisseurs and aficionados. He also makes new contacts with retailers and other distilleries. One example of this is his active involvement in a deal with the Danish distillery Stauning, in which four casks were swapped between the two distilleries St. Kilian and Stauning and each filled with New Make. Fans can look forward to the results of this co-operation.
Where can you find Olli Fink?
Olli can be met at various whisky fairs in the north. Whether in Kiel, Bremen or Hamburg, our Brand Ambassador is on the road with his St. Kilian stand on behalf of the German whisky from Rüdenau. Of course, you can also enjoy our exquisite spirits at his stand in Berlin and find out about the latest developments at St Kilian from Olli.
How did Olli Fink come to St Kilian?
In January 2019, Olli and our Master Distiller & Blender, Mario Rudolf, met in Miltenberg am Main. There, Mario made the suggestion and asked Olli to become a brand ambassador for St Kilian. Before accepting, Olli reserved the right to visit the distillery in Rüdenau, as he had not yet come into intensive contact with German whisky.
What was Olli’s first impression of St Kilian’s?
As Olli drove along the bumpy road to Rüdenau for the first time, the scenery immediately reminded him of the road conditions in Scotland’s Speyside. After an extensive tour of our distillery, a tasting of some cask-aged spirits and intensive discussions with the St. Kilian team, Olli was immediately enthusiastic about everything. He agreed to work for us as a brand ambassador in the north.
Is Olli only to be found in the north?
No. Our brand ambassador is regularly to be found several times in Rüdenau in Franconia. Be it at an online tasting, the St Kilian Whisky Festival or other events. Olli is always happy to meet and advise fans of St Kilian and those who want to become fans. Or, as Olli likes to say: “to chat with them!”
Is Olli also available online?
Of course! Olli Fink is also represented online. He runs his own website at www.whisky-freund.de. There he not only presents a wealth of information, but also introduces his whisky of the month. Whisky enthusiasts also have the opportunity to book various tastings in his cosy tasting room or privately at home and to purchase one or two St. Kilian whiskies in his mini shop.
