Fantastic St. Kilian Online Whisky Tasting for the start of the year with a new setup

The St. Kilian Distillers team is delighted about another successful online whisky tasting at the start of the year. Around 1,000 tasting sets with eight exclusive samples left the Lower Franconian distillery in advance, raising hopes for an exuberant whisky experience.

The highlight of the enjoyable evening was undoubtedly the tasting of the first unpeated bottling in the Whisky Solera by St. Kilian series, which delighted the whisky community with its rich sweetness of aged sherry, plums, raisins and Seville oranges.
This entertaining and short whisky evening also saw the premiere of the brand new Small Batch Series. The whisky experts around Master Distiller Mario Rudolf presented a double maturation atypical for St. Kilian: ex PX and ex Bourbon, as well as the smoky bottling from Hungarian oak.
Another highlight was the presentation of a special single cask. This unpeated single malt whisky from a former Four Roses Bourbon barrel was particularly popular with fans and connoisseurs. The single cask bottling, limited to 285 bottles, sold out completely within a few minutes.
