Judas Priest – Invincible Shield

Judas Priest - Invincible Shield_back

Judas Priest’s new album, ‘Invincible Shield’, catapulted into the international charts just one week after its release and achieved record positions. With their 19th studio album, which has delighted fans and critics alike, the heavy metal band is seamlessly continuing their glorious history. Our single malt whisky of the same name, which impresses with complex fruity notes, creamy vanilla, mild rye spice and a gentle smoky note, is a tribute to the powerful and expressive album.

Judas Priest – British Steel

Judas Priest - British Steel

We pay tribute to the legendary album ‘British Steel’ by the British band Judas Priest, recognisable by the iconic razor blade on the cover, with a special heavy metal bottling. This non-smoky single malt whisky matured predominantly in bourbon barrels and was married with matured distillates from fresh American white oak casks (Virgin Oak). These not only give the whisky wonderful fruity notes and a warm oak spiciness, but also a beautiful colour.

Judas Priest – Single malt whisky with rock’n’roll character

The Judas Priest single malt whiskies are produced with high-quality barley malt, pure spring water and in traditional copper stills. After distillation, they mature in selected barrels, which shape their unmistakable character. The whiskies offer a range of flavor profiles, from fruity berries and creamy vanilla to spicy barley malt and smoky notes of peat. Each bottling expresses a different facet of the band – from the melodic delicacy to the epic heaviness of their riffs.

Past bottlings…

Judas Priest – Turbo

Inspired by Judas Priest’s legendary 10th studio album Turbo, this four-year-old single cask bottling is as multifaceted as the music it honours. Matured in a French ex-Pacherenc sweet wine barrique cask, this mild, unpeated single malt whisky unfolds an exciting combination of honeyed fruits, green walnut notes and oak, rounded off by a gently spicy finish. Bottled at perfect drinking strength, it captures the electrifying energy of the album.

Judas Priest – 50 Heavy Metal Years

One of the greatest heavy metal bands, Judas Priest, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Reason enough for St. Kilian Distillers to dedicate another Heavy Metal Edition to the legendary band from Birmingham.
Limited to 12,300 bottles, the ‘50 Heavy Metal Years’ Anniversary Edition gets its unique character from barley malt that has been gently smoked over beech wood fires.

Judas Priest – Ram it Down

Fans of heavily peated whiskies will get their money’s worth with this special edition, strictly limited to 1,300 bottles, dedicated to Judas Priest’s eleventh studio album, ‘Ram it down’. Ultra heavily peated barley malt with a phenol content of 91 ppm from the Scottish Highlands was used here.
For this heavy metal bottling, three 190-litre ex-bourbon casks and a fresh American white oak cask were artfully blended with two unusual 38-litre ex-peated bourbon casks.

Judas Priest – Angel of Retribution

For the strictly limited ‘Angel of Retribution’ edition, on the other hand, ultra heavily peated barley malt with 91 parts per million (ppm) was used, which comes directly from the Scottish Highlands and embodies heavy metal in its purest form. A total of 950 bottles were filled from this four-year-old single malt, which underwent unique full maturation in French 300-litre ex-Pineau des Charentes casks and offers a true explosion of flavour with peat smoke, fruit and spice. At the World Whiskies Awards 2023, ‘Angel of Retribution’ received the Category Winner award and the gold medal.
