This single malt whisky consists of aged distillates, 70% of which matured in ex-bourbon casks and 30% in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a balanced whisky with complex fruit notes of apricot and peach, accompanied by creamy vanilla, spicy oak, and subtle herbal notes. Nose
Multi-layered fruity notes of ripe apricots, peaches, yellow plums and plantains blend with creamy vanilla to create a sweet melange of fruit, underpinned by delicately spicy oak and a delicate herbal note of fresh mint with a little sage.

Palate
Balanced sweet and at the same time warming with apricots and peaches, creamy toffee as well as spicy oak flavours, which are spicily refined with a pinch of white pepper and perfectly rounded off with a hint of fresh mint.

Finish
Creamy caramel notes linger pleasantly with fine brittle, subtle dry oak spice and a hint of fine herbs.

Ein Whisky wie er heißt: fruchtig (Ananas, weißes Fruchtfleisch) und mild (vanillig), im Abgang kommt schöne Eiche. Aber alles ganz sanft. Schöner Whisky!!

Whisky "Made in Germany"! Handwerklich und geschmacklich sehr gut gemachte Destillate, von den Signature Editions oder den Rock Editionen über Spencer/Hill bis zu König Ludwig. Wer Andreas Thümmler persönlich kennt fängt sofort Feuer aufgrund seiner Begeisterung und Leidenschaft für das Thema. Großes Kompliment und weiter so!

Ich bin kein Whisky-Trinker. Im Gegenteil: Viele Whisky-Sorten sagen mir nicht zu. St. Kilian Classic kann ich gerade deshalb aber empfehlen. Er schmeckt angenehm mild und zugleich aromatisch-fruchtig. Meines Erachtens ein sehr guter Einstieg in die Whisky-Welt. Und noch dazu „Made in Germany“ – super!
