Prestigious Awards for St. Kilian Whiskies and Liqueurs in South Africa and the USA

St. Kilian Distillers wins a total of 20 medals at the Aurora International Taste Challenge and the USA Spirits Ratings

St. Kilian Distillers from Rüdenau near Miltenberg am Main is celebrating another prestigious success at this year's Aurora International Taste Challenge (AITC) in South Africa. The German whisky distillery was awarded a total of 14 medals in various categories for its outstanding whiskies and liqueurs. This impressive success underlines the high quality and excellence of St. Kilian's diverse product range.

The AITC 2023 is an internationally renowned event that brings together the best spirits producers from around the world to have their products judged by an independent jury. The products were blind-tasted and awarded by internationally experienced experts. St. Kilian was awarded a total of five gold medals for outstanding whiskies and liqueurs. Six other St. Kilian products also received silver medals as a sign of exceptional quality and taste.

The highlight of the awards are undoubtedly the three double gold medals, which underline the high degree of innovation and passion of the Churfränkische distillery. Double Gold was awarded to the distinctive core range bottling, St. Kilian CLASSIC – Mild & Fruity, the smoky whisky from the Terence Hill series and the limited Signature Edition THIRTEEN.

Further medals followed at the USA Spirits Ratings, or USR for short, which took place in San Francisco. In this competition, spirits are judged in three key areas. To be among the award winners, distilleries must offer high-quality spirits that offer good value for money for both trade and consumers. Their appearance on the shelf and at the bar is also included in the evaluation.

At the USR 2023, St. Kilian Distillers' bottlings were awarded an outstanding four gold medals and one silver medal. In addition, the Signature Edition Thirteen received the "Best in Show by Country Category" award for Germany and the whisky category. This smoky single malt is a rich composition of five different types of wood and convinced the international expert jury with this extraordinary composition.
