After 13 years, the highly anticipated TV series "Ein Koch für alle Fälle" (A Chef for All Occasions) is finally coming to Germany. On August 24, 2023, the pilot episode of Bud Spencer's last TV series premiered at the Filmnächte am Elbufer in Dresden. St. Kilian Distillers is accompanying this long-awaited event for many Bud Spencer fans with a very special bottling. The Lower Franconian whisky distillery presented a new, highly limited Bud Spencer special edition for the premiere.

The Bud Spencer – Ein Koch für alle Fälle – Single Malt Whisky seamlessly integrates into the outstanding collection of St. Kilian Distillers and offers harmonious enjoyment for lovers of first-class whiskies and Bud Spencer fans alike.

In his last TV series, Carlo Pedersoli, also known as Bud Spencer, experiences numerous daring adventures as a former commissioner and passionate chef. In the process, he can always use a strong gulp of whisky. The experienced master distillers at St. Kilian Distillers have created this with the utmost care and attention to detail. The result is a heroic single malt whisky of the highest quality, reflecting the power, determination, and warmth of Bud Spencer.

For the Bud Spencer special edition, the mild St. Kilian Single Malt Spirit, made from the finest barley malt and double distilled in copper pot stills, matured in the finest Oloroso Sherry casks from Andalusia.

The bottling captivates with a perfect balance of sweetness and fruitiness with spicy and warming nuances. This single malt whisky gains remarkable depth and complexity through characteristic sherry notes as well as the aromas of ripe fruits and spicy oak.

Bud Spencer Special Edition available now

Like all other popular Bud Spencer and Terence Hill spirits, the Limited Edition is bottled in the iconic 0.7l bottle. The label in the iconic film look also gives this fine drop that certain something visually.

The single malt whisky is neither colored nor chill-filtered and was bottled with an alcohol content of 46% Vol. The special edition, limited to 600 bottles, is now available online at St. Kilian and in the shop at the visitor distillery. The recommended retail price for the 0.7l bottle is €59.90.

Appearance
Pale amber

Aroma
Very fruity with an alluring scent of ripe apricots, dates and a splash of sherry, accompanied by vanilla pudding, some milk chocolate with raisins and a hint of walnut in the background.

Taste
Initially wonderfully sweet, fruity and creamy with ripe apricots, vanilla and fine sherry notes. Then increasingly spicy with a subtly peppery warmth, refined with milk chocolate, toffee and a hint of raisins.

Finish
The creamy and warming aromas of fine caramel, some fruit jam, as well as toffee and milk chocolate linger long with a subtle oak spice.
