A smoky masterpiece celebrating the distillery's diversity and expertise

St. Kilian Distillers is launching an exclusive bottling on February 14, 2025, with the new Signature Edition FIFTEEN, which captivates with intense peat smoke and a full maturation in fine Amarone wine casks from the renowned Lenotti winery. This smoky edition is a homage to the distillery's craftsmanship and forms the peated counterpart to the coveted Signature Edition TWO from 2019.
Signature Edition FIFTEEN was produced from Scottish peated malt with an impressive phenol content of 80 ppm. The new bottling matured for three years in former Amarone casks of various sizes (50 l, 100 l, and 310 l), which arrived in Rüdenau directly after the full-bodied Amarone della Valpolicella from Italian Bardolino was emptied. The winey aromas of the casks, combined with the elegant fruity accents and intense smoky notes of St. Kilian New Make, make this single malt whisky an unmistakable taste experience.
For Mario Rudolf, Master Distiller at St. Kilian, Signature Edition FIFTEEN is the ideal addition to the series: "The high-quality Amarone casks from Claudio Lenotti are absolutely unique. They lend our whisky an impressive depth and exceptional aromatic complexity. With this single malt, we wanted to create a smoky counterpart to the legendary Signature Edition TWO, which also matured in Amarone casks – a whisky with a distinctive character and authentic soul. I am convinced that we have succeeded splendidly."
The limited single malt whisky is neither colored nor chill-filtered and was bottled at an alcohol content of 53.3 % vol in the iconic 0.5-liter glass bottle in the shape of a pot still. The appealing design underscores the exclusivity of the edition, which is available at a retail price of € 49.90.
Sales Launch and Trade Show Presentations
Signature Edition FIFTEEN will be available from February 14, 2025, in St. Kilian's online shop and in the distillery's visitor shop in Rüdenau, and will also be available from selected specialist retailers. Furthermore, St. Kilian Distillers will exclusively present the new bottling at the whisky fairs in Schwetzingen (Whisky Spring) and Nuremberg (The Village).

An alluringly fruity bouquet of red berries, forest fruits, dark cherries, and ripe peaches unfolds harmoniously, accompanied by sweet peat smoke, delicate BBQ accents, a nuance of vanilla, and spicy oak.
Taste
The velvety fruit sweetness of dark cherries, juicy red currants, and ripe peaches merges with creamy vanilla, while warming oak spice and a hint of cocoa create a perfect balance, enveloped by ashy peat smoke.
Finish
Creamy-sweet notes of red fruit jam linger long and intensely, carried by dark chocolate, fine peat smoke, slightly dry tannins, and elegant oak spice.
