Press release: St. Kilian Distillers win a shower of medals at the World-Spirits Award 2024

Churfränkische Distillery honored as World-Class Distillery and Master-Class Distillery 2024

The German whisky distillery St. Kilian Distillers was honored with the coveted "World-Class Distillery" and "Master-Class Distillery" awards at this year's World-Spirits Award 2024 (WSA). Furthermore, at the award ceremony on March 23rd in St. Pantaleon, Upper Austria, the distillery's diverse product portfolio received an outstanding 20 medals, including two double gold, 13 gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.

St. Kilian's Master Distiller and Master Blender, Mario Rudolf, who personally accepted the trophies along with Philipp Trützler, is also impressed by the value and transparency of the international competition: "From our point of view, the WSA is an absolutely fair and highly professional competition with consistently understandable results. We are all the more pleased that, despite the strong competition, many of our products, which are permanently available in our range, have been awarded. Compared to other international spirits competitions, the WSA holds a special position as it not only awards medals for products but also classifies the respective production facilities. In the "Whisky Worldwide" category, St. Kilian Distillers was awarded the highest distinction "World-Class Distillery 2024", as well as the title "Master-Class Distillery 2024" in the (Bitter & Liqueurs) category.

In addition, the St. Kilian range prevailed against a competition of a total of 300 different spirits submitted by 77 distilleries from 25 nations. The international expert jury evaluated according to the WOB-100-point system, specifically tailored to spirits, by the organizer Wolfram Ortner. The St. Kilian team is delighted with the overwhelmingly positive verdict of the renowned spirits experts, which highlights the outstanding craftsmanship of the Lower Franconian distillery and the first-class quality of St. Kilian whiskies and liqueurs.
