In honor of the name day of the Patron Saint of Franconia, the Chur-Franconian distillery dedicates the fourth part of the St. Kilian-Franconia Saga to the blessed Immina
A special edition from casks with brewer's reserve pre-aging expresses the essence of Franconian craftsmanship in a unique single malt whisky
Rüdenau, July 2024
On the occasion of the feast day of Saint Kilian on July 8, the Chur-Franconian distillery St. Kilian Distillers is launching a new limited single malt whisky: the Kiliani Edition 2024 – IMMINA. This year's bottling honors the blessed Immina, granddaughter of Duke Gosbert and Gailana, and abbess in Würzburg and Karlburg. The special edition as a Chur-Franconian composition and the chosen title once again demonstrate the strong connection of the whisky distillery to its Franconian homeland and to its namesake, St. Kilian.
Under the experienced guidance of Master Distiller and Blender Mario Rudolf, the Kiliani Edition 2024 – IMMINA was created, a unique single malt whisky that reflects the Franconian region. This mild (unpeated) creation matured for over five years in former Bourbon casks, which were previously filled with the "Brauerreserve 1237" from the Faust family brewery in Miltenberg – an opalescent, fruity-complex craft beer with a barrique aroma. This special Chur-Franconian pre-aging gives the whisky a rich bouquet of honey, malty beer notes and creamy toffee. This is complemented by sweet fruit aromas and gently warming oak spice, guaranteeing a full-bodied taste experience.
With the Kiliani Edition 2024 – IMMINA, St. Kilian Distillers presents the fourth bottling in the series, named after significant figures from the life of the Apostle of Franconia, Kilian.
Immina, the daughter of the last Thuringian Duke Hetan II, lived as a nun in the monastery founded by her father on the Würzburg Marienberg. Later, she transferred the monastery to Bishop Burkard and retired to the Marienkloster in Karlburg, where she died in 750. Her remains now rest in Würzburg Cathedral.

Available in a limited edition from July 8, 2024
The Kiliani Edition 2024 – IMMINA is neither colored nor chill-filtered and bottled at a perfect drinking strength of 46% Vol. in the iconic 0.5 liter pot-still bottle. The fruity-spicy single malt whisky is limited to 975 bottles and will be available online and in the visitor distillery shop in Rüdenau from July 8 at 5:30 p.m. The recommended retail price for the 0.5 liter bottle is € 59.90.
