Now it's coming thick and fast

Terence Hill now also at Germany's largest whisky distillery

St. Kilian Distillers enters into a licensing cooperation for the "Terence Hill" brand and is launching a mild and a smoky Terence Hill – The Hero – Whisky before Christmas.

Rüdenau, November 2021
With his films, Terence Hill became a true hero. After work, whisky is his drink in the saloon. In Italy and many countries around the world, he is a celebrated superstar. For the Terence Hill - The Hero - bottling, St. Kilian Distillers married whisky with ex-rum barrel notes from their own stocks with triple-distilled whiskey from the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, Ireland, which matured in American ex-bourbon barrels.

Successful licensing cooperation with BSL

Nomination as Newcomer of the Year

Bavaria Sonor Licensing (BSL), a division of Munich-based Bavaria Media GmbH, has been commissioned by the rights holder Paloma Productions Media und Marketing GmbH to expand the product world around Terence Hill with licensing cooperations and corresponding licensed products throughout Europe. BSL has brokered this licensing cooperation for the "Terence Hill" brand to St. Kilian Distillers GmbH.

The successful licensing cooperation between St. Kilian and BSL for the "Bud Spencer" brand, which has been ongoing for a year now, has not gone unnoticed by industry experts. St. Kilian was even recently nominated as Newcomer of the Year 2021 at the Licensing International Germany Awards 2021.

Sales start is December 1, 2021

Both Terence Hill whiskies are bottled in the familiar 0.7-liter bottle with a high-quality, sturdy appearance and a real wooden cork stopper.

The retail price for consumers is €39.90 for the mild and €49.90 for the smoky Terence Hill whisky. From December 1, 2021, both whiskies will be available from selected retailers and online.

Bud Spencer alone? Unimaginable for many

About a year ago, investment banker and owner of St. Kilian Distillers GmbH, Andreas Thümmler, launched a first and very successful licensing cooperation with BSL for the "Bud Spencer" brand. The response from whisky lovers and fans alike was equally overwhelming, and demand remains strong.

In social media and in many emails, countless fans have since celebrated St. Kilian for dedicating a whisky and liqueur series to Bud Spencer, the film legend of their youth.

At the same time, many fans missed Terence Hill. Bud Spencer alone? Unimaginable for many. Terence Hill and Bud Spencer have been considered two sides of the same coin for decades. Two megastars who achieved joint worldwide fame as an ingenious duo in their legendary films.

With Terence Hill, what belongs together now comes together at St. Kilian

At St. Kilian, they naturally saw it the same way as the fans and made every effort to win over Terence Hill as well. Therefore, Philipp Trützler, Managing Director of St. Kilian Distillers GmbH, held talks with Bavaria Sonor Licensing (BSL) for months. The Munich licensing agency, which had already brokered the licensing cooperation for the "Bud Spencer" brand, was once again able to successfully arrange a corresponding licensing cooperation for St. Kilian Distillers for the "Terence Hill" brand.

"The ink is dry on the contract - now what belongs together comes together at St. Kilian Distillers!" say owner Andreas Thümmler and managing director Philipp Trützler happily. Both are confident that they can build on the success of Bud Spencer whisky with the "Terence Hill" brand.

A few words about Germany's largest whisky distillery St. Kilian

St. Kilian Distillers from Rüdenau near Miltenberg am Main in Lower Franconia has regularly proven in recent years that premium whisky does not necessarily have to come from Scotland, Ireland or Japan. St. Kilian has now been awarded numerous gold medals at the most renowned whisky competitions around the globe. In addition, awards such as "Distillery of the Year" and "Whisky of the Year" also testify to the international top level that the still young whisky distillery has now reached with its whiskies.
