Outstanding Success for St. Kilian Distillers at the 2023 Bartender Spirits Awards in San Francisco

The awards underline the enormous versatility of Rüdenau whiskies and liqueurs

The renowned German whisky distillery St. Kilian Distillers achieved great success at this year's Bartender Spirits Awards in San Francisco. The company from Rüdenau, Lower Franconia, near Miltenberg am Main, received a total of three gold, three silver, and one bronze medal for its high-quality whiskies and liqueurs.

The Bartender Spirits Awards, held annually in San Francisco, are a significant event in the spirits industry, where top products are judged by a professional jury – consisting of top bartenders from American restaurants, bars, pubs, and clubs. Medals are awarded to spirits that achieve high scores in the evaluation criteria of mixability, balance and versatility, taste, mouthfeel and finish, packaging, and price, thus best meeting them.

Among more than 1,400 different spirits from 45 countries, the expert jury honored St. Kilian Distillers' extensive product portfolio with an outstanding seven medals. "We are delighted that the great dedication and passion with which the entire St. Kilian Distillers team creates whiskies and liqueurs has once again been recognized at an international level. I am convinced that our premium spirits will increasingly gain a foothold in the gastronomy and bar scene. With an impressive 93 out of a maximum of 100 points, the smoky single malt whisky "Judas Priest – 50 Heavy Metal Years" won a gold medal. This anniversary bottling in cooperation with the British heavy metal band received its unique character from barley malt gently smoked over beechwood fire. The characterful single malt whisky from the Core Range, "St. Kilian Peated – Rich & Smoky," was also awarded gold. In addition, the highly aromatic hazelnut liqueur based on New Make, "Terence Hill – The Hero – Voll auf die Nuss," received another gold medal with an excellent 90 points.

• Bronze: Grave Digger – Berry Metal (Forest Fruit Liqueur)

Award-winning bottlings available

The two award-winning bottlings St. Kilian PEATED – Rich & Smoky and St. Kilian CLASSIC – Mild & Fruity form the Core Range at St. Kilian Distillers. These single malt whiskies, bottled in 0.7-liter pot-still bottles, are permanently available in the assortment alongside the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill whiskies.
