St. Kilian Distillers celebrates whisky premiere

The first single malt whisky from St. Kilian has arrived

Three years have passed. 36 months of hard work and passion. 156 weeks in which we turned ideas into reality. 1,095 days in which St. Kilian Distillers has grown as a team and brand - with and on its spirits. Excellent New Makes, delicious liqueurs and diverse bottlings of our The Spirit of St. Kilian have increased your and our anticipation of the big day. To our first whisky. And that? It's here now!

Genuine single malt - made in Germany

Our very first bottling, the "First Kilian", was very limited. There were 760 bottles of the first one - that's how many inhabitants there were in our "whisky village" of Rüdenau when we filled the first cask. It was sold out very quickly in the pre-sale. The solution: We have added another great single malt - in line with our new motto: Real. Surprising. And: really tasty.

It's called "One". The prelude to our Signature Edition. Genuine single malt whisky - made in Germany, but at home all over the world. It's made with a love of experimentation, a lot of team spirit and, of course, the best ingredients: 100 per cent malted barley from Bamberg, original Scottish stills from Forsyths, five excellent casks. With former bourbon, rum and PX sherry casks as well as ex-bourbon quarter casks and chestnut casks, our distillery team around Master Distiller Mario Rudolf has created a smooth single malt with notes of tropical fruits and a malty finish.

Whisky Weekend in Rüdenau

At the celebration of this milestone on Friday evening in our distillery, representatives of the press as well as the buyers of our "First Kilian" already had the opportunity to taste our Signature "One". 400 guests came to celebrate the biggest moment in the history of St. Kilian Distillers so far. They were thrilled - and we: overwhelmed! To all other friends, fans and neighbours, we present our "One" from the Signature Edition today at an open day.

The "One" is now available for 38,90€ in our brand new online store and in specialized stores. How do you enjoy it? That's up to you. We like freshly baked banana bread or a piece of delicious milk chocolate.

St. Kilian Distillers - here's what happens next

Now we are really taking off: We have a whole range of other whiskies planned for the Signature Edition. Mild and unpeated to spicy with smoky notes - all with the signature of excellent casks from around the world, each bottling individually composed by our distiller team around Mario Rudolf.

Your tools? More than 90 different barrel types: former Amarone, rum or Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels, ex-bourbon quarter casks, chestnut barrels or Sauternes white wine barrels. We have collected them from the Caribbean to Texas and Islay. What does that mean for your enjoyment? The best (taste) conditions!
