ST. KILIAN DISTILLERS EXTENDS THE LICENCE FOR THE SINGLE MALT "BUD SPENCER - THE LEGEND" WITH A SMOKY EDITION!

With the latest single malt creation "BUD SPENCER - The Legend - SMOKY", St. Kilian Distillers is fulfilling the wish of many whisky fans who want to enjoy Bud Spencer not only mild but also smoky from 28 February.
The fact that Germany's largest whisky distillery from the tranquil town of Rüdenau in Lower Franconia is now among the world's best, especially when it comes to smoky whiskies, has been impressively demonstrated at various international competitions. At the London Spirits Competitions last year, for example, the Lower Franconians won all the prizes with their smoky "Signature Edition Four". With 97 out of a possible 100 points, the Four achieved more points than all other participants and was not only named Whisky of the Year, but also Spirit of the Year 2020. St. Kilian was awarded Distillery of the Year. Therefore, it was no problem for Master Distiller Mario Rudolf and his team to bring a true smoky pleasure experience into the bottle from the meanwhile already stately cask storage and thus also to do justice to both extremes of the character of film hero Bud Spencer.
According to Andreas Thümmler, owner and managing director of St. Kilian Distillers GmbH, there are already various ideas to fill the range between mild and smoky with other delicious drops under the Bud Spencer brand. According to Thümmler, talks with the agency, BAVARIA SONOR LICENSING, are already underway.
SUCCESSFUL LICENCE COOPERATION WITH BSL
Bavaria Sonor Licensing (BSL), a business division of Bavaria Media GmbH, was commissioned by the rights holder Plattfuss Vertriebs GmbH to expand the product world around Bud Spencer and Terence Hill with licensing cooperations and corresponding licensed products throughout Europe. BSL has brokered this licensing cooperation for the "Bud Spencer" brand to St. Kilian Distillers GmbH.

SALES LAUNCH OF "BUD SPENCER SMOKY" ON 28 FEBRUARY 2021
St. Kilian Distillers creates absolute premium whiskies for a global audience. For "Bud Spencer - The Legend - smoky", noble bourbon barrels from the USA were again combined with Italian Amarone red wine barrel notes. Of course, in proven St. Kilian "Made in Germany" top quality. This time, the barley malt comes from the Scottish Highlands, among other places, and is pleasantly smoky, just like Bud Spencer.

PRODUCT INFORMATION ON THE WHISKY
Made with Scottish barley malt, the smoky Bud Spencer whisky was matured for over 3 years in Italian ex-Amarone and ex-Bourbon casks from the USA. It was distilled twice in original Scottish pot stills.

The Bud Spencer Whisky is bottled in a 0.7 litre bottle with a high-quality, beefy look and a real wooden cork closure. Its alcohol strength is 49 % vol.

With the smokiest edition FOUR, for example, St. Kilian won all the important prizes at the London Spirits Competition in the summer of 2020 and won the gold medal as the best whisky of the year with 97 out of 100 points.
