St. Kilian Distillers extends the licence for Bud Spencer single malt whiskies with the Wild West Liqueur Bud Spencer Firewater!

"BUD SPENCER - The Legend - FIREWATER" - this is the name of the latest liqueur from the house of St. Kilian, where premium liqueurs are created for a global audience in addition to whisky.
After the brilliant success of the two single malts from the Bud Spencer whisky series, which have won several awards in the meantime, it was only logical for Germany's largest whisky distillery to pay tribute to the popular western hero Bud Spencer with its own Wild West liqueur and thus satisfy the desire of the many St. Kilian liqueur fans.

BUD SPENCER FIREWATER is a chili-cinnamon liqueur based on the St. Kilian Single Malt Spirit, which was double distilled from the best barley malt in original Scottish pot stills. With a rich alcohol content of 33% vol. for a liqueur and the combination of spicy cinnamon notes and pleasant chili heat, the Feuerwasser will be a real highlight. The firewater is available in the same bulbous 0.7l bottles in which the popular Bud Spencer whiskies are also available.
Whether on hot evenings or cold nights, BUD SPENCER FIREWATER promises high enjoyment all year round.
Bud Spencer Firewater will be available in stores from the end of April 2021.

Successful licensing cooperation with BSL

Bavaria Sonor Licensing (BSL), a business division of Bavaria Media GmbH, was commissioned by the rights holder Plattfuss Vertriebs GmbH to expand the product world around Bud Spencer and Terence Hill with licensing cooperations and corresponding licensed products throughout Europe. BSL has brokered this licensing cooperation for the "Bud Spencer" brand to St. Kilian Distillers GmbH.

Andreas Thümmler, owner and managing director of St. Kilian Distillers GmbH, is enthusiastic about the enormous popularity that the two Bud Spencer whiskies have already met with. He is convinced that the new firewater will also be well received by Bud Spencer fans and liquor connoisseurs. Moreover, as the head of the distillery based in Rüdenau in Lower Franconia emphasises, such a close partnership as the one that has grown between St. Kilian, the licensing agency BAVARIA SONOR LICENSING and the rights holder of the Bud Spencer brand is anything but a matter of course. Sales of "Bud Spencer Firewater" start at the end of April 2021

Liqueur product information

The firewater is produced on the basis of the St. Kilian Single Malt Spirit, which was distilled twice from the best barley malt in original Scottish pot stills. With a rich alcohol content of 33% vol. for a liqueur and the combination of spicy cinnamon note and pleasant chili heat, a true Wild West liqueur is created.

A few words about the largest whiskey distillery in Germany

St. Kilian stands for single malt whisky - Made in Germany and is inspired by whisky cultures from all over the world. Here, pure barley malt meets original Scottish pot stills - and decades of whisky know-how meets German engineering. In addition to the whiskies, the various liqueurs, which are developed and perfected by the team of expert distillers and based on St. Kilian single malt whiskies and spirits, are particularly popular.

St. Kilian Distillers awarded worldwide

As a comparatively young distillery, St. Kilian proves time and again that the age of a whisky is not the only guarantee of outstanding quality. The many national and international awards that already adorn an entire wall are proof of this. The fact that St. Kilian's spirit, which is also known as White Dog and forms the basis of the firewater, belongs to the absolute world's best has been clear at least since the World Whiskies Awards 2018. Here, it was named the World's Best White Dog.

The whiskies from the Bud Spencer series also convinced the judges. Both the mild and the smoky Bud Spencer were awarded gold. While the mild whisky won a gold medal at the International Spirits Award 2021 , the smoky whisky has already been awarded gold twice - once at the Frankfurt International Trophy and once at the Concours International de Lyon.
